KIT - DIRECTORS' BIOGRAPHIES
Jeff
Stephenson recently completed his second theatrical
documentary feature, in addition to directing a comedy series pilot. His
short films have won numerous awards and have been broadcast nationally.
Jeff and Jason, the Flyerman team, collaborated in the past on a rockumentary
for the internationally renowned band, Crash Test Dummies. Jeff has served
as a Chairman and Juror for the Genie and Gemini Awards, Canada's highest
entertainment honors. Jeff currently resides in Los Angeles. He has his
Masters Degree in Directing from the world-renowned American Film Institute.
He's currently developing dramatic feature-length films.
Jason Tan is an award-winning, Gemini nominated director of photography having lensed numerous dramatic films, documentaries, commercials and music videos. Jason has filmed several nationally broadcast television programs, most notably a new documentary pilot for MTV and Alliance/Atlantis as well as an intimate portrait of rock legend Robbie Robertson. With dozens of music videos and commercial spots at the root of his career, Jason has been focusing on feature length production. This year he completed the filming of his fourth dramatic feature. Flyerman is Jason's first feature as a director.
Now Magazine in Toronto, the equivalent of New York's Village Voice or LA Weekly, recently heralded Jeff and Jason as numbers 1 & 2 on their list of the Top Ten Canadian Filmmakers To Look Out For in 2004.
